WELCOME TO THE WRIGHT MENTALITY MENTORING

~Let's Make The Wright Connection~

The Wright Mentality Mentoring program is designed to support young people from diverse backgrounds by empowering them to develop positive self-esteem, providing a listening ear, offering constructive advice, introducing new coping strategies, and encouraging positive self-talk and goal-setting. By engaging with the youth and challenging them to develop empowerment skills, the program aims to create a supportive community where young people can share common experiences and concerns with one another.

Who We Are

The Wright Mentality Mentoring embodies an inclusive, small business approach. Our core belief is that no one should feel alone on their life's journey. We strive to provide a safe space for sharing, listening, learning, and mutual support. We emphasize creating an environment where everyone's voice is heard, fostering growth and development. Antonio Wright, a young African American male native to the Durham area, has over 12 years of experience in public service and mental health.

Antonio's career began as a volunteer firefighter for nearly six years. He pursued his undergrad degree at Strayer University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, which led to a role in the justice system as a Correctional Officer for 5 years. He then obtained his Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Antonio is truly devoted to supporting and helping the community of the youth and their families to give a helping hand back to the community. The Wright Mentality is designed to bring families closer together and allow children to know they always have a chance no matter how far they have to reach to obtain thier future.
